McCune Wright Arevalo, LLP is passionate about supporting non-profits and charities in our community and beyond. We are committed to helping those in need, which is why this month, on Thursday, October 10, we’ll proudly serve as supporters for the Land of Lincoln Legal Aid fundraiser.
Land of Lincoln Legal Aid was founded in 1972 as a non-profit corporation. The core goals of Land of Lincoln are to pursue civil justice for low-income individuals and families by providing them with education and legal representation, when necessary. But, this organization reaches far beyond the scope of Illinois’s local community. Land of Lincoln strives to provide legal services across the state, and has helped individuals in 65 counties throughout 5 regional offices, 3 satellite offices, and a central call center.
By providing low-income folks with legal representation, Land of Lincoln Legal Aid hopes to:
- “promote economic security, adequate shelter and health care;
- alleviate domestic violence and improve family stability; and
- advance the interests of vulnerable populations.”
The fundraiser will host U.S. Senator Dick Durbin as Honorary Chairperson and will take place on Thursday, October 10, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
