Employees at the Joliet, Illinois, Amazon warehouse have filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) against the company, alleging corporate abuse, racial discrimination, and retaliation. According to the complaint, a group of Black employees of an Amazon fulfillment center stated that racist death threats were written in bathroom stalls, and a lack of security and accountability have contributed to a racially hostile work environment since late 2021. Employees, past and present, are alleging workplace discrimination, racism, and hostile work environment. According to the Amazon discrimination lawsuit filed against Amazon warehouses, Black employees in the Joliet, Illinois, MDW2 fulfillment center have been experiencing racism, racial discrimination, retaliation, and death threats.
