Sarah Shahatto
Biography
Sarah Shahatto specializes in Product Liability, Personal Injury, and Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals litigation. Sarah represents plaintiffs seeking compensation and justice for their injuries, and she is passionate about holding large corporations accountable. She represents clients in state and federal court matters, particularly in mass torts litigation.
Prior to joining McCune Law Group, Sarah was an associate at a labor law firm where she represented workers and labor unions. She was also a law clerk at a workers’ compensation law firm, where she secured access to healthcare and disability benefits for injured workers.
During law school, Sarah gained great experience in public interest law and plaintiff-side civil litigation. Through UCI Law’s Civil Rights Litigation Clinic, Sarah worked on trial and appellate cases regarding plaintiffs’ civil liberties and entitlement to damages. She participated in Legal Aid at Work’s Workers’ Rights Clinic and provided pro bono employment law consultations. She was a judicial extern at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Los Angeles.
Sarah was an advocate on her law school’s Jessup International Law Moot Court team, and the Diversity and Outreach Coordinator for UCI Law’s Journal on International, Transnational, and Comparative Law. She co-founded UCI’s Muslim Law Students Association.
