David’s Work at the Department of Justice
I worked for the United State's Attorney's Office for the Central District of Los Angeles, which is an area that comprises of the greater part of Southern California, excluding San Diego comprised of approximately 15 million people. I worked in an office of approximately a hundred and twenty criminal attorneys, and we were the sole federal law enforcement officers representing those 15 million people. In that office, I personally prosecuted a range of crimes, everything from violent crimes such as bank robberies extortion crimes to crimes against children and also immigration crimes from the full breadth of what the federal government prosecutes. We were involved in some of the most important litigation because the federal government and the U.S. Attorney's Office are able to bring the resources to bear to prosecute some of the largest conspiracies, largest gang drug cartel prosecution's that are often beyond the means of an over taxed District Attorney's office.
