Orbit Baby Infant Essentials G2 Car Seats – Class Action Investigation
McCune Wright Arevalo LLP is investigating a class action lawsuit on behalf of purchasers of Orbit Baby Infant Essentials G2 car seats. Orbit retails its car seat for over $1,000, advertising that the product contains “below detection limits” of “dangerous flamer retardant chemicals.” The chemical, TDCPP (or Chlorinated Tris), is known to cause cancer or reproductive harm. Orbit has been served with two California Prop 65 violations, which requires companies to disclose to customers “chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm.” Despite receiving these violations, Orbit has maintained the car seat does not contain the dangerous chemical.
