Infants’ Tylenol Overpricing – Class Action Investigation
McCune Wright Arevalo LLP is investigating a potential class action lawsuit on behalf of consumers who purchased Infants’ Tylenol. Johnson & Johnson, the makers of Tylenol, advertise Infants’ Tylenol, containing 160 mg of acetaminophen per 5 ml, at a premium cost of approximately $5.00 per ounce. This same company also manufacturers Children’s Tylenol, also containing 160 mg of acetaminophen per 5 ml, as only for use in children between ages 2-11. Children’s Tylenol is also significantly less expensive at approximately $2.00 per ounce. Upon information and belief, the formulas used in Infants’ Tylenol and Children’s Tylenol are substantially the same. Therefore, individuals who purchase Infants’ Tylenol are being forced to pay a premium since the Children’s Tylenol packing leads one to believe that it would not be safe to treat their infant.
