Dodge Engine Oil Consumption – Automobile Defects

McCune Wright Arevalo is investigating a class action lawsuit on behalf of owners and lessees of Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, and Jeep automobiles. A recent investigation revealed specific models may be prone to excessive engine oil consumption. This defect causes vehicles to burn through engine oil at a faster rate and forces the owner or lessee to replenish the engine oil in their vehicle more frequently than normal. In some instances, when consumers brought their vehicles to a Chrysler dealership and complained of an engine oil shortage, they have been told the issue is normal or that the owner is at fault and have been denied coverage for the repair under the new vehicle warranty.

The models that have experienced excessive oil consumption issues are as follows:

  • Chrysler Town & Country/Grand Caravan
  • Chrysler 300
  • Dodge Durango
  • Dodge Caliber
  • Dodge Dart
  • Dodge Charger
  • Dodge Challenger
  • Dodge Avenger
  • Ram Truck
  • Fiat 500 model
  • Jeep Grand Cherokee
  • Jeep Compass
  • Jeep Patriot
  • Jeep Liberty
  • Jeep Cherokee
  • Jeep Wrangler
  • Jeep Journey
