Aaron D. Burden

Aaron D. Burden is an accomplished litigator with extensive experience in professional liability defense, business litigation, and civil rights matters. At McCune Law Group, Aaron brings a unique combination of courtroom expertise and strategic advocacy to help clients navigate complex legal challenges and achieve favorable outcomes.

Aaron’s legal career is distinguished by his proven track record in high-stakes litigation. Most notably, he served as second chair in a federal securities fraud case that resulted in a $2.1 million jury verdict for his clients. His practice encompasses a broad range of civil litigation matters, and he has successfully managed cases from initial investigation through trial and appeal in both state and federal courts. Aaron’s approach to litigation is both methodical and client-focused, developing individually tailored strategies that align with each client’s specific goals.

Before joining McCune Law Group, Aaron served as General Counsel for a nonprofit organization where he managed a diverse litigation caseload spanning constitutional law, election law, business disputes, and real estate matters. As sole trial counsel in 12 bench trials and four appellate matters, he honed his advocacy skills and demonstrated his ability to handle complex legal issues independently. His work in constitutional law resulted in a published opinion affirming citizens’ right to initiative, showcasing his commitment to protecting fundamental rights.

Aaron’s legal acumen is complemented by valuable experience in professional liability defense, where he represented attorneys, accountants, healthcare providers, and other professionals in negligence claims. This experience provides him with unique insights into risk management and the standards of care across multiple professional fields, which proves invaluable when advocating for clients facing similar challenges.

Prior to his legal career, Aaron served nine years in the United States Navy as a Combat Photojournalist, deploying to combat zones in Iraq and the Philippines and participating in humanitarian missions in Indonesia. His military service instilled in him discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure—qualities that serve him and his clients well in the courtroom. Aaron graduated magna cum laude from UC San Diego with degrees in Communication and Political Science before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law.
