If you purchased or leased a BMW M3, you may have a defective product. The BMW M3 vehicles produced with an S65 engine from 2008 - 2013 are subject to a defective product class action lawsuit. The alleged defect causes the engine to create a catastrophic engine failure. It is believed that BMW knew of the defect in the engine, but failed to disclose it to vehicle owners and issue a recall.

A FAILURE TO DISCLOSE KNOWN ENGINE PROBLEMS IN THE BMW M3?
The problems associated with the engine are believed to create a serious safety hazard to consumers, as well as significantly reducing the value of the car. To date, BMW has not disclosed that they had knowledge of the defect, despite numerous reports to dealerships and the many vehicles that have required repair for this specific problem. The defect can lead to catastrophic engine failure -- a severe hazard to consumers.
ENGINE FAILURE: A DANGER TO BMW M3 OWNERS
It is believed that the S65 engine was built with a serious defect, and that BMW was aware of the problem as early as 2013. The rotating assembly in the engine does not get a sufficient quantity of oil to the bearing surfaces, causing accelerated wear. Small pieces of metal then enter the engine oil, circulating to other areas of the engine. Vehicle owners have experienced loss of power steering or braking -- hazards that could easily lead to injury or death.
